USASCP Program Manager, Helen Santiago Fink, attended the National Science Foundation’s Smart and Connected Communities Principle Investigators’ Meeting (S&CC PI Meeting ’24) organized at Vanderbilt University in Nashville February 27-29. USASCP met with U.S. university program partners under the Smart Cities – NSF cooperation, including Virginia Tech and University of Dayton to explore continuing research interests. Discussions were also held with University of North Carolina – Charlotte, which serves as implementing partner for USASCP Green Buildings Innovation Program. USASCP briefed the audience of NSF Japanese research partners on its USASCP portfolio and underscored the US-Japan Circularity Initiative with the Japan Ministry of Environment focused on e-waste.
